Roberto Maietta - baritone
Winner of the Publikumsprize Akademie Belcanto Rossini in Wildbad (2017) and Toti dal Monte international singing competition (2015), he gradueted at Conservatorio Donizetti (Bergamo) perfecting with: Claudio Desderi, Raúl Giménez, Lorenzo Regazzo, Pietro Spagnoli.
He began his career in 2014 with the Ensemble Opera Studio of Teatro Carlo Felice (Genova), here debuting in several operas such as: Nozze di Figaro (title role) Barbiere di Siviglia (Figaro), Elisir d’amore (Belcore), Bohème (Schaunard), Carmen (Le Dancaïre).
In the last years he had the opportunity to work with some of the major Italian theaters such as: Teatro dell'Opera di Roma (Lustige Witwe, 2019), Teatro la Fenice di Venezia (Lustige Witwe, 2018), Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari (La Bohème, 2015; Vedova allegra, 2016; Traviata, 2018; Adriana Lecouvreur, 2020), Festival Pucciniano Torre del Lago (Gianni Schicchi, 2015), Donizetti Opera Festival Bergamo (Lucrezia Borgia, 2019). He made his debut the role of Dandini with New Generation Opera in Florence (2020 ).
He worked together with conductors like: Philippe Auguin, Antonino Fogliani, Fabio Luisi, Stefano Montanari and with stage directors such as: Filippo Crivelli and Davide Livermore, Damiano Michieletto.
In 2016, he joined the Akademie Belcanto Rossini in Wildbad, here debuting in Comte Ory (Raimbaud) and becoming guest of the festival for Occasione fa il ladro (Martino) in 2017, and Cambiale di matrimonio (Slook) in 2018.
He sang in Mozart's trilogy (Giovanni, Masetto Guglielmo, Alfonso), particularly devoting himself to brilliant and comical titles of the Italian Belcanto, such as: Signor Bruschino (Gaudenzio), Inganno felice (Tarabotto and Batone) and Scala di Seta (Germano) by Rossini, Don Pasquale (Malatesta), Campanello (Enrico) by Donizetti.
